Hanyem is a unique place, a microcontinent shaped like a four-pointed star inhabited by countless animal races as well as three intelligent humanoid races. The felibrawno and gisharen peoples are native to Hanyem, while humanity migrated to it during the arrival of Mynah Smith 500 years before Wrath of Mynah. Hanyem is also controlled by many diverse factions.

The Indigallo Federation:
Named after the durable blue metal that arms their vast military and navy, The Indigallo Federation controls most of the territory in Hanyem, especially its central regions. It was founded by Mynah Smith Jr. shortly after the death of his father. Composed entirely of humans, this faction pledges unity for all, though some believe them to be seeking nothing but control and power. They control the currency of Hanyem through the form of Indigallo Federation Credits (IFC) as well as religion through The Church of Mynah. Federation soldiers are everywhere, donning trapezoidal masks to dehumanize themselves, longswords, and dressed like brutal enforcers. These soldiers are further divided among many sub-factions, like Federation Intelligence or Major Inkar Zeal‘s Gilded Platoon.
The Gilded Sorcerers:
While sparse, the mountain-dwelling Gilded Sorcerers own most of the gilded ivory and therefore gilded indigallo in Hanyem, as they harvest the ivory from their own gilded boars and refine it into gilded indigallo. Once a sorcerer has used this material to manufacture weapons and armor, they can conduct electricity from their surroundings and body into gilded bolts. These bolts are powerful attacks that grow in strength with both the experience of the sorcerer and the sorcerer’s bond with their soul-boar. A soul-boar is the gilded boar a sorcerer has been bonded to, gaining the ability to understand one another. This faction was founded by Mynah Smith as a contingency against humanity, and is intended to be divided across three temples, the Northern, Southeastern, and Western Mountains. Each temple houses a gisharen, human, and felibrawno sorcerer to ensure diverse and unbiased defenders of Hanyem. The ability to become a sorcerer is inherited genetically, with only a handful of gilded bloodlines carrying the trait. These numbers have been narrowed even further after Captain turned General Zed Aurum’s successful attack in wiping out the Western Sorcerers 3 years before Wrath of Mynah and 497 years after Mynah Smith’s arrival.
The Felibrawno Resistance:
The Felibrawno Resistance, in its current state, was founded by General Sahroa Fortis and Admiral Giley Aulalo after the assassination of the Minister of Felibrawn, Zebulon Aulalo, and the destruction of his vastly populated fortress, the old capital of the region. This military state exists for one reason only, that being the complete annihilation of The Indigallo Federation as a consequence of their rumored enslavement of the Felibrawno people. They are brutal, strong, and unforgiving warriors with brittle but large fleets of naval vessels. At the time of Wrath of Mynah, they are winning on the naval side of things but fail to gain any ground territory, as the Indigallo Federation’s Felibrawn Facility is impassible.
The Gisharen State:
The Gisharen State was established by Former Governor Pax Silex when the gisharen people, under pressure from The Indigallo Federation, denounced their sovereignty in favor of becoming a semi-independent colony of the federation. Known for their intricate woodworking, wine, and skilled use of projectile weapons, the gisharen people are fiercer than they are tall.
The Fureonite Cartel:
The Fureonite Cartel, founded by Jacques Fureon after a mission from King Mynah Smith III, is a family with complete control over the supply of Fureonite in Hanyem, originating from a subaquatic ravine beneath the floating Fureon City. Fureonite is a dangerous substance, serving as a medicine with limitless potential at the price of unavoidable addiction. Withdrawals are known to kill in weeks, with many notable victims from Jacques Fureon to Ruby Gilder. Using this supply as a bargaining chip against The Indigallo Federation, the Fureonite Cartel maintains sovereignty. This is further enforced by the gilded bloodline at the center of the family, as well as the brutal Felibrawno security guards defending the city.
